Medora West has over ten years of industry and risk management experience. She began her career as a health and safety professional with one of the world's largest oil and gas producers and, subsequently, the downstream sector. She completed her industry experience as a health & safety professional and Senior Site Supplier Quality Engineer at a manufacturing facility. During this time, she analyzed losses, implemented engineering controls, and successfully improved the existing programs. Most recently, Medora was a Property & Casualty Risk Engineer with a large multi-national carrier where she developed resources for clients, underwriters, and other risk engineers. Her experience included surveying businesses and properties to identify risk exposures in casualty and property lines.
During her time in the insurance industry, Medora's primary focus involved assessing general liability and pollution exposures in complex risks, including chemical processing and distribution. Medora enjoys working with cross-functional teams to make long lasting improvements that benefit the safety and production of clients.
She received a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety & Health from the University of Central Missouri and a Master's in Public Health from Capella University. She is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM).
