Leslie Packer practices in the areas of civil litigation, focusing on products liability (including medical devices and pharmaceutical drugs), medical malpractice, and commercial litigation. Her litigation practice includes the representation of product manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, health care practitioners and institutions, engineering companies, and other businesses. A sampling of Ms. Packer’s experience includes the defense of medical devices such as silicone gel breast implants, surgical rods, cold therapy units, surgical mesh, sutures, and syringes, among others.
Ms. Packer is listed in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business®, Benchmark Litigation, The Best Lawyers in America®, The International Who’s Who of Product Liability Defence Lawyers, North Carolina Super Lawyers, and is peer review rated AV ® in Martindale-Hubbell. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, the Board of Special Olympics North Carolina, and as President of the UNC Law Alumni Association.
Ms. Packer obtained her undergraduate degree from Brown University (A.B., magna cum laude, 1982) and her J.D. from the University of North Carolina (with High Honors, 1986) where she was a Morehead Law Fellow.
