Janette Adair brings over 10 years of insurance regulatory experience to the position of AVP – Senior Insurance Regulatory Officer. Prior to joining Berkley Life Sciences, she was the AVP, Senior Regulatory Counsel for a specialty insurance group with responsibility for holding company filings, company licensing, regulatory updates, consumer complaints, data reporting, workers’ compensation statistical reporting, agent appointments, and producer and adjuster licensing. Ms. Adair began her insurance career as legal counsel for the Nebraska Department of Insurance. She has also served as an adjunct professor for Concordia University Nebraska and Southwestern College teaching courses in Business Law and Business Ethics. Prior to joining the insurance industry, Ms. Adair owned and operated a small business for twelve years, and served as the Mayor and City Council President for the City of Broken Bow, Nebraska.
Ms. Adair holds a J.D. with Distinction from the University of Nebraska, and a B.S. in Business Administration Magna Cum Laude from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She is a member of the Nebraska Bar Association and is admitted to practice in Nebraska state and federal courts. Ms. Adair also holds CPCU, MCM and ASLI designations, and is a member of the IRES Foundation Board of Directors.
